Which Router Should I Get for My Workshop Projects?

Asked By CraftyNinja88 On

I'm in search of a high-quality router for my workshop projects, and I'm debating between a few options. I've been eyeing the Bosch MRC23EVSK and the Festool 1400, but I'm not thrilled about the price of the Festool. I've heard good things about the Triton router, so I'm wondering how it compares to the Bosch. Has anyone had experience with these routers? I'd really like to make the right choice and avoid buyer's remorse!

As a pro woodworker, I recommend the Milwaukee router with both bases. The model 5616-21 is versatile and comes with a big carrying case. It's super convenient for routing and has everything you need!

That setup sounds amazing! Is it easy to switch between the bases?

You can't go wrong with the Bosch 1617 kit, especially with the plunge base. It's a great price and super reliable for all kinds of projects! I'm planning to grab a second one to keep in my router table.

That's exactly the setup I have, and it's been working great for me!

I agree! The 1617 is a solid choice and it's currently on sale for about $200. You should definitely check it out before you decide!
