I've been getting into woodworking for about a year now, mainly working in my garage. I've built some small furniture pieces like benches and shelves, and so far I own a Delta contractor saw, Dewalt planer, jigsaw, orbital sander, and basic hand tools including chisels and a Japanese kanna. Lately, I've been tackling small box projects and I'm considering my next tool investment. I'm stuck between getting a jointer or a bandsaw. I can mill boards using a sled and my planer, but it's not always perfect. I've heard a bandsaw would be helpful for re-sawing boards since I'm currently using my table saw for that, which I've been told can be dangerous. So, what do you think? Should I go for the jointer or the bandsaw as my next purchase?

Your collection looks good! I'm a bit envious of your planer. Just to add, a jointer is super valuable for flattening, but a bandsaw is versatile and great for resawing wood. A jointer is a single-use tool and can take up a lot of space, while a bandsaw can do many things!
I think a bandsaw would be the better choice to start with since it offers more versatility. After you get the hang of it, you can always look into a jointer later. Also, I noticed you didn’t mention having a router; that could be a great investment too, just saying!
Have you considered getting a marking knife and a combination square? These are inexpensive but can really boost the precision of your joints. They might be a good addition before moving on to bigger tools like the jointer or bandsaw.
When choosing your next tool, consider what project you want to tackle next. Sometimes it’s not about what looks fancy but rather what helps you get the job done efficiently and safely. Avoid getting caught in the cycle of buying tools for the sake of it!
It really depends on your plans. I personally would get a belt/disc sander or a drill press before a jointer. Also, keep in mind to focus on good dust collection, that's an important aspect!
