I'm looking for advice on who to hire for a project where I need to remove an old built-in AC unit. This work involves not just taking out the AC, but also patching up the interior and exterior walls once it's out. Any recommendations on the right type of worker for this?

You'll want to consider getting a carpenter or a handyman for this job! They should be able to handle both the AC removal and the wall patching. Just keep in mind that depending on your siding, getting everything to match up nicely could be a bit tricky.

For this kind of work, you're looking at a couple of specialists. An HVAC tech can handle the AC unit removal, and then a carpenter would be needed for any siding work. You might also want to bring in a drywaller for the interior patching and painting.
