Why Are Decorative Pots So Hard to Match with Nursery Pots?

Have you guys noticed that many decorative pots today don't actually fit standard nursery pots properly? It seems like the issue lies mainly with the lip design of the nursery pots, which often prevents them from sitting flush inside the decorative ones. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

I keep small empty containers like metal tins to lift my nursery pots up so they don't sit too low. It's super handy! You can also use things like small stones or even make little aluminum foil balls to prop them up.

Great idea! I've been using lids off drink containers to support my pots.

I use plastic takeout condiment cups turned upside down! Works like a charm.

I've been using pool noodles cut to make a donut shape to lift the nursery pots! It's a clever trick because you can adjust the height as needed.

That's a genius idea! I've got a few pool noodles lying around.

I actually started making my own pots because I got tired of the mismatching issues! I even made some that resemble nursery pots, and they hold up really well. Plus, it’s a fun hobby!

That sounds amazing! Have you worked with porcelain? I’m curious about making some quirky planters myself.

Your pots look incredible! I love the idea of making something unique instead of relying on store-bought pots.
