There are a few reasons why basil leaves might turn yellow. It could be due to overwatering or underwatering, not getting enough sunlight, poor drainage, or even pests. It's important to check your watering schedule. How often are you watering it?

We just got the plant and watered it yesterday, but it already had yellow spots. I want to see if I can help it out. I did fertilize it, and even though it was sunny this morning, it's cloudy now, so I put it under a lamp.
