I'm currently building a 2-sink bathroom vanity that is 7 feet long and has 14 inset drawers, all equipped with Blum 563 undermount drawer slides. The drawer boxes are made of 5/8" Baltic birch plywood, and despite my best efforts to ensure everything is aligned with the back edge of my face frame, I've noticed that the drawer depths vary by about an 1/8" from one another. I've meticulously cut the drawer box sides to exactly 18" and mounted the slides at the same depth, but the drawers are still different in how flush they sit with the face frame. What could be causing this variation, and how can I get them all perfectly flush without having to readjust each individual slide? This is actually the third time I've used Blum undermounts, and I've always encountered this issue, despite being more precise this time around. I usually create dimples in the back for drilling, but I'm wondering whether the depth of the holes really affects the flushness. I just received a Blum drill kit to check the hole depths; any tips would be appreciated! I really love these drawers, but I'd prefer not to have to tweak each slide individually.

Are you using the Moventos or Tandems? If you’re using Moventos, make sure you’re adding the depth-stop clips—those are super important! Also, do you have the jig that Blum provides for drilling the alignment holes? That tool ensures consistent hole depths. When you mounted your slides using spacers, were they placed at the bottoms or tops of the slides? You should reference the bottom because the weight tends to slope the slides backwards if you’re not careful. Also, have you considered adjusting the slides? They have quite a bit of built-in adjustability—around 3-8mm typically. Try loosening the screws just a bit so they can slide, then push the drawers into alignment as best as you can, tighten the screws, and secure them with the other holes.

Thanks for the tips! I am using Tandems and I have the orange locks, but I think you're right about those depth clips not being compatible. I’ll definitely try adjusting the slides with the horizontal slots; I'm hoping that’ll get me closer to perfect without too much hassle.
