Why are my bulbs getting moldy?

I've noticed that whenever I buy bulbs and don't plant them right away, they tend to get moldy. Just the other week, I left them in my shed for only two weeks, and they developed mold. Is this a common issue, or am I doing something wrong?

Yeah, it's really annoying! It seems like a waste when you buy them and they spoil like that.

Bulbs can definitely get moldy if they're stored in a warm and humid environment. Do you have any leaks or excessive warmth in your shed? I actually keep mine stored under my bed, and they tend to stay fine there!

You have a particularly cold and dry bed?

(Sorry)

To avoid mold, make sure to spread your bulbs out in shallow boxes. Air circulation is key because they need to dry out completely to prevent mold growth. Try that next time!
