Hey everyone! I'm experiencing a strange problem with my DeWalt cordless tools. For the past 10 years, I've had no issues, but now I'm dealing with several batteries that blink for a short time and then display as fully charged, even though they're actually dead. I've tried using different chargers, plugging them into various outlets, and even brought them home to charge on my personal charger. Unfortunately, nothing seems to work, and I'm hoping to avoid spending a ton of money on new batteries. Any suggestions?

It sounds frustrating, but rechargeable batteries do eventually give out. How old are your batteries? The age and condition can greatly affect performance. If you have any older ones, they might just be at the end of their life cycle.
You might want to check the specific models of your batteries too. If you’ve been using a mix of sizes like the 6-amp and the 2-amp, they all might have different lifespans. The two older 4.5s could also just be past their prime. A battery replacement might be unavoidable if they keep failing to hold a charge.
