I bought some lithops about a month ago, and they looked pretty short and cute at the time. I haven't given them any water since then, but I'm noticing that the new leaves are growing really tall, which I've heard is a bad sign. Am I going to lose my lithops again? What can I do?

If your lithops are growing tall, it's usually a sign that they're not getting enough light. While this itself won't kill them, it can weaken the plant and lead to other issues related to watering and soil retention, so definitely something to keep an eye on.
You might want to move them to a spot where they can get more direct sunlight. They're currently in front of a southern window, but if they're behind other plants, that could be blocking some light. Also, with the bad weather lately, they may not be getting enough sun. And hey, pictures can really help—definitely try resending yours!
