Why Are My Radishes Taking Longer Than 30 Days to Grow?

I've noticed that the seed packets for radishes claim they should be ready to harvest in 30 days, but mine always seem to take at least 45 days or even longer. I've tried growing them in different gardening zones, in pots, raised beds, and directly in the ground, but they never seem to follow that timeline. Am I missing something, or are the seed packets not accurate?

For me, it’s closer to 6 weeks to get them just right, but if you wait too long, they can get woody and spicy. The environment can really affect growth time.

The dates on seed packets are usually under ideal conditions. Don't stress too much about the 30-day mark; it’s more of a guideline than a hard rule.

Just remember, gardening is all about trial and error. So many factors come into play—like soil, light, water, and weather. Even if you and your neighbor plant the same seeds at the same time, you might see different results. So, try not to get too attached to specific dates. Just enjoy the journey and learn from the season!
