Why Are My Solar Panels Not Producing Any Power?

I'm having trouble with my new solar setup. I've got two Renogy 100 watt panels connected in parallel to a BoogeRV 40 charge controller and a Renogy 2000 watt inverter with power supply interrupt. However, I'm not detecting any voltage at the panels, not even at the junction box where the cables connect. I'm really looking for assistance to figure out what might be going wrong. Thanks in advance!

Do you have a battery as part of this system? Without a battery, the panels won't produce usable power, and you'll need one for the whole setup to work correctly.

Check if the panels themselves are generating any voltage. It's crucial to verify that before troubleshooting wiring issues. If you're not getting anything on your multimeter, you might have an issue with the panels or connections.

I recommend trying to connect your panels in series to boost the voltage output. Also, ensure that your wiring is simplified: connect the panels straight to the controller, then to the battery, and finally to the inverter, avoiding any unnecessary components that could cause issues. That way, it's easier to identify if something isn't functioning properly.
