I'm on the hunt for an M12 copper press kit with jaws (model 2473-22), and I've come across some seriously varying prices. For instance, Home Depot and Supplyhouse.com list it for about $2,400, but I can find it for $1,700 on eBay and $1,800 on Amazon. This price gap seems huge, and it raises a red flag for me like maybe there's a catch involved. I've made some pricey purchases on eBay before, like cell phones and laptops, but I've got my limits—especially with anything over $500. I'm particularly cautious about Amazon, especially with third-party sellers. Can anyone share their experiences or advice?

I’ve had a similar experience, and honestly, some of the listings on Amazon and eBay can be sketchy. There's a possibility that those cheaper prices are for counterfeit or stolen goods. I’ve even had a bad experience with stolen items from Amazon, so I totally understand your hesitation.
Same here! I’ve heard of people getting ripped off with fakes, especially on branded items.
But don't write off all eBay and Amazon sellers just yet! There are some reputable ones out there. I bought a Milwaukee M18 threader from eBay through FAO (Factory Authorized Direct) for $1,400 when it was $1,800 elsewhere. Just do your homework and check the seller’s ratings. I also had a good experience with a Ridgid product I bought on Amazon a while back; it was legit and the service was solid.
I got a great deal on an 18ga nailer from Acme Tools. They even replaced it for me when it had issues!

Does that impact the warranty if you end up with something dodgy?
