I recently picked up some 5.0 m12 batteries during the latest sale, but I've noticed that the lights on my 3/8 Fuel impact wrench are blinking. I did some searching online, and it seems like this could mean the battery is delivering too much power. Is that really the case, or is there something else going on?

Typically, when you see those lights flashing, it indicates overheating. If your impact wrench is doing this without actually getting hot, then something's probably wrong with it. I'd say get it checked out if it continues to blink.
I've had a similar issue with my 1/4 Hex. Even with a fully charged battery, the lights started blinking. Turned out, the circuit board was faulty and needed replacing. You might want to check that out if the problem persists!
Wait, is the circuit board in the battery or the tool?

That sounds like a hassle, especially if it just goes back and forth between settings without function!
