Why Aren’t Magnetic Track Lights More Popular in the US?

I'm considering upgrading the lighting in my loft-style room and came across these ultra-thin magnetic track lights. They seem to be quite popular in Asia and Europe, but I'm curious about why they're not used more here in the US. Are there any obvious drawbacks to these types of lights that I should be aware of?

Honestly, it seems like they just didn’t get marketed well. By the time magnetic lights came around, other lighting styles had already become the norm. And let’s face it, not everyone's moving lights around often enough to even need magnets. Outside of maybe shop displays, they don't see a lot of use.

One reason could be that the power supply for these lights might not meet US safety standards like NRTL (UL, ETL, etc.), which means electricians are less likely to install them. Plus, the US already has established track lighting systems with lots of options, making it hard for new products to compete.
