Why Aren’t My Pepper Seeds Germinating?

I've planted several seeds on February 8th, and while everything else has sprouted, all of my pepper seeds are still dormant. I started three different types of peppers, and I'm starting to wonder if this is usual. Shouldn't they have started showing signs of life by now, especially after being on a heat mat and under grow lights for ten days?

Peppers are indeed slow to germinate! It's typical for them to take a bit longer, often over two weeks. As long as you've got them on a heat mat that’s warm and keeping the soil moist, you should be fine. Just give it some time!

Ten days isn’t alarming! Most peppers average around two weeks, but some super hots can stretch to a month. Keep them moist, check daily, and don’t forget that good lighting is crucial as soon as they start to sprout.

You're spot on about the heat. They really thrive in warm conditions. Even with perfect setups, peppers can be sluggish, so don't panic yet! Just ensure your setup stays warm and humid.
