I recently switched out my wall plates for screwless ones using the existing receptacles, but I'm finding that the plates don't sit flush against the wall. Is there something I'm doing wrong? Do I need to use a specific type of receptacle to ensure the new wall plates fit properly? Here's a link to an image for reference: https://imgur.com/a/gdDDBXl

Definitely get yourself some outlet spacers! They're super helpful for situations like this.
You might just need some spacers! Those screwless plates look slick, but to fit right, the outlet behind it has to be level and properly secured. You can use small washers on the mounting screws or even some shims if you need to adjust the height. There are premade products too if you want something specific.
Thank you! I’ll look into that.
Have you checked the brand of your outlet and wall plate? I've only used screwless wall plates from Lutron, and those need to match with Lutron receptacles too. If yours is an Amazon knockoff, that could be the issue. Another option is to use outlet spacers to pull the outlet a bit forward. Without seeing the setup, it’s hard to say for sure if spacers would help, but they could be worth a try!
Thanks! I tried a Lutron switch but still had the issue. Looks like spacers might be my solution.

Thanks, I’ll definitely grab some!
