Why Can’t I Find 3/8″ 4-Hole Angle Brackets for Channel Strut?

I'm a bit confused about finding 3/8" 4-hole angle brackets for channel strut. I usually only come across 1/2" brackets, both in stores and online. Is there a reason for this? Can I make 3/8" bolts work with 1/2" brackets? I'm just getting started with strut systems and trying to wrap my head around it all. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

You're actually fine using the 1/2" brackets with 3/8" bolts as long as you add some washers. It’s a common workaround, and many people do this. Just make sure to use flat washers to distribute the load and keep things sturdy.

Exactly! Washers are a must to make sure everything stays secure.

If you're struggling to find 3/8" brackets, check out Unistrut's website. They might have options you're not seeing elsewhere. But really, 1/2" brackets can work with the right washers, like fender washers and split lock washers, to keep it all together.

Thanks for the tip! I’ll definitely check Unistrut out.
