Why Can’t I Find Stearated Sanding Belts?

Hey everyone! I recently purchased some 12" stearated sanding disks from 2Sand and I've been loving how well they resist loading up. However, when I started looking for 4x36 sanding belts, I couldn't find any available. I'm curious if the reason is that the stearated filling doesn't flex enough for the rollers. Can anyone confirm this or suggest where I might be able to get them? Thanks in advance!

Actually, stearated belts do exist! Brands like Red Label make them, and you might find others too. Personally, I prefer using a grease stick to keep my steel platen lubed and reduce heat buildup—it works wonders!

Cool, thanks for the tip! Do you apply the grease stick directly on the belt or just on the platen?
