I've been deep cleaning my room, getting rid of all the dust, but then within a week, there's a new layer coated on everything! I'm in my room a lot, so I'm baffled as to why this is happening. Just to clarify, we change the house air filters regularly and do a duct cleaning service once a year, but this dust buildup is only happening in my room and not in other parts of the house.

It sounds like your dust problem might be linked to how often you clean and what's in your room. We got a Roomba a few months back, and running that daily has really cut down the dust in our place. Maybe consider getting one if you haven't already.
Dust can come from all sorts of places. Besides what comes from outside like dirt and pollen, you've also got skin cells, pets, and even things in your room breaking down like carpet padding. I’d recommend investing in a good air filter and see how much it captures in a few days.
You might need to look into a few specific issues. Do you open windows often? Is there dust coming from your vents? If you have any air leaks or live near a dusty area, that could be a problem too. Shoes can track in dirt, so taking them off at the door can help as well. And definitely keep an eye on your air filter; if it's dirty when you change it, that could be part of the issue.
