Why Do Pet Owners Struggle with Keeping Plants Alive?

I've noticed that many people who are great at caring for pets and even kids often find it tough to keep plants alive and thriving. Why do you think that is? Any thoughts?

Totally! You can shower pets and kids with love and attention, but plants? They don't care about that. They thrive on different conditions, and sometimes too much love can actually do them more harm than good. It's a tough adjustment for those used to pet care.

So true! I definitely struggle with this – I just want to pamper my plants like I do my pets. But I guess letting them be is key, right?

I think it comes down to a few reasons. For one, pets and kids are mammals, so their needs are a lot easier to relate to and understand. Plus, a lot of people see plants as optional extras rather than something that requires commitment and care, so they don't feel responsible to learn how to care for them.
