I've noticed that even after running my dishwasher, the interior (which is white plastic) still looks filthy with streaks and grime, especially around the door hinge. I've meticulously scrubbed it, including the filters, but it just gets dirty again. Since my dishwasher is quite old and I live in a high-rise condo, I'd prefer to solve this issue on my own without contacting my landlord. Any suggestions on how to clean or maintain my dishwasher better? Thanks for the help! (I tried to share pictures, but I couldn't figure out how to do it.)

Have you been rinsing your dishes before loading them? It seems obvious, but sometimes food residue can lead to that dirty look. If you're already doing that, running a cycle with a cleaner designed specifically for dishwashers might help. Just be aware that really stained interiors may need a second treatment.
Make sure your drain line has a high loop; that could be contributing to the issue. If it's not draining properly, it could cause grime to build up. Also, I suggest using dishwasher cleaning tablets in an empty cycle if you haven't already. They really do a nice job of keeping things clean!
You might want to try running your dishwasher empty with a cup of vinegar in a saucer. It helps, but if that doesn't work, consider getting a limescale remover powder to use in an empty wash. That stuff can really help tackle build-up.
