I've been having a frustrating issue with my hot water heater. It heats water well for about 5 minutes, but then it suddenly turns cold for a couple of seconds before returning to the normal temperature. After that, this cold water 'blip' happens roughly every minute. Has anyone else experienced this? I'd appreciate any advice or suggestions!

Have you checked if it’s a tankless water heater? If so, they can sometimes have fluctuations based on demand. Also, if you’ve installed any touch-activated faucets recently without proper check valves, that could result in cross-mixing, leading to the temperature changes. Just something to consider!
Sounds like you might have a tempering or mixing valve issue. These valves mix cold water with hot water to maintain a steady temperature, and if it's malfunctioning, it could cause those temperature dips you’re experiencing.
