I've noticed that my toilet makes a weird hiccuping sound when it's filling up. I'm wondering if I can fix this myself and what could be causing it. Are there certain parts I should check?

It sounds like there might be an issue with either the fill valve or the flapper. If the hiccuping is happening regularly, I suggest you turn off the water supply to see if the sound stops. If it does, then the fill valve might be the culprit. If it keeps going, then the flapper could be the problem.

I had a similar issue, and regular hiccups can often point to the fill valve. Just last year, I replaced all parts in my toilet, including the fill valve and flapper. It was a hassle, but worth it! Maybe try checking if the water supply is installed correctly.
