I'm wondering why DeWalt doesn't have a 20V left-blade 7-1/4" circular saw, similar to the 565 model. I find the bulk of the 577 model unnecessary for my needs. Has anyone else noticed this gap in their lineup?

It seems like there just isn't enough demand for left-blade saws, especially in many regions. Most people tend to prefer right-blade options, which likely influences DeWalt's choices.
Yeah, left-blade saws are pretty uncommon in some areas. I don’t see many people using them around here, either. It's pretty much all right-handed saws. It's not just DeWalt though; other brands aren't making them either. Bosch is one of the few that comes to mind when it comes to left-blade options.

That's interesting. I know you can find corded left-blade saws, but it's odd that there's a lack of 20V options. Plus, it seems like a lot of smaller DeWalt saws are left-blade, so you'd think they would consider expanding that category.
