Hey everyone! I had about 1200 sqft of pavers installed back in December 2019, and it cost me $7 per sq ft through a hardscape company. Now, when I reached out to them for an additional installation, they quoted me $30 per sq ft! I'm shocked and trying to understand what's causing this massive price hike. Has anyone else noticed similar increases or have insights on what's driving up the costs?

Everything seems to be going up in price these days! Pavers that were cheap a few years ago are no exception. The inflation hit hard, and it's affecting everything from materials to labor costs. It's frustrating, I know. Just another sign of the times!
For real! I just got quoted for some work too, and it's way higher than I expected. It's pretty crazy out there.
Honestly, $7/sq ft seems incredibly low, especially if that was for installation too. I've been paying between $29 and $40 for a decent quality, installed paver. You definitely got a steal back then!
In 2019, my rates were around $20/sq ft, but now it's up to $30-$40. It seems like the company has finally adjusted their pricing to be more realistic over the years. Inflation and rising material costs are real, it seems!

Totally agree! It's not just pavers; look at gas prices and everything else. It's a tough time to be doing any kind of home improvement.
