I've got a couple of bird feeders in my backyard filled with seeds and mealworms. Lately, I've noticed that the garden birds that usually visit regularly have stopped showing up as much. Typically, I'd empty the feeders by about 3 PM, but now they're barely a quarter empty by 8 PM. I haven't changed the food or moved the feeders around, so I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas about what might be happening. My partner really loved watching the birds eat every day, so I'm a bit worried!

It might be that insects are becoming more available this time of year, so the birds are less reliant on your feeders for food! It can happen when the weather warms up and bugs start to come out, giving them a lot more natural food to eat.
I’ve noticed a dip in bird activity too, and I think it might have to do with their mating season. It seems like they get a bit distracted and busy during this time, so don't worry too much! They'll be back at the feeders, probably even hungrier!

Haha, I hope so! Thanks for the reassurance!
