Hey everyone! I noticed that the Milwaukee 1/2 impact wrench is around $100 cheaper on Amazon compared to Home Depot. Does anyone have an idea why this price difference exists? I'm curious if Amazon might be selling refurbished tools or something similar, but the listing doesn't mention anything about that. Thanks for any insights!

If you’re using the tool for work, it’s usually better to just buy from authorized dealers like Home Depot. Tools aren’t cheap, and in the long run, you might actually save money by getting something reliable.
Amazon isn't an authorized dealer, which raises a lot of red flags. The tools could be returned, used, or even counterfeit. There’s also the risk that even if you get a legit product, it might be older stock without the full warranty, which could end up costing you more in the long run.
One possibility is that some sellers might be reselling returns from Home Depot. I've heard about people buying pallet lots and flipping them on Amazon. Just seems too risky to save a little cash, especially when tools aren’t cheap to begin with.
Honestly, I wouldn’t trust buying Milwaukee tools from Amazon at all. There are too many potential issues, like getting a tool that’s been tampered with or isn’t the quality you'd expect.
Exactly! If the manufactured date is older, you could lose warranty coverage. A tool that's supposed to last 5 years might only be covered for 2 or 3, and that's not great.
