Why is My Bathroom Grout Cracking After Remodel?

I recently had my bathroom remodeled about six months ago, but I'm noticing cracks and gaps in the grout between the tiles on my shower wall. Here's a link to some pictures: https://imgur.com/a/YSxjvht. Is this a normal issue? Should I be worried about potential water damage and mold forming behind the tiles?

I noticed it looks like you have some corners in those photos. Corners should be caulked instead of grouted because they can move differently as they expand and contract with temperature changes. This could be contributing to the cracking you’re seeing.

You're right, it is a corner right behind the showerhead. Thanks for the tip!

It sounds like the grout might not have been mixed correctly or was overworked during application. More likely, though, it could be due to the wall not having the right support, which is causing it to flex and crack the grout. Definitely something to keep an eye on!

So it could actually get worse if I leave it as is?
