I have a Frigidaire dishwasher (Model # LFID2426TF2A) and recently noticed a strange hissing sound while it was running. When I checked inside, there was no water at all! I found a pool of water underneath the dishwasher, so I pulled it out and dried everything off. The intake hose looks fine to me, but I plan to replace it just in case. All the other hoses also seem okay. I've lived in this house for six years, and the dishwasher was already here when I moved in. I know the water in my area is pretty hard. My question is, could the intake valve be the likely issue, or should I investigate other components?

I suggest turning the stop valve back on and running the dishwasher for a few minutes while keeping an eye on the area below to pinpoint where the leak is coming from. Once you identify the source, you can turn it off again and dry everything out. The fill valve does seem like a likely suspect. Good luck!

I tried that, too. But could there be something else leaking near the input area? Check out this spot I found: https://imgur.com/a/VoYWxeE.
