I recently had a new LG electric dryer installed, and it's been working really well for over a month. However, I've encountered an issue where it trips the breaker in the middle of a cycle, and this has happened a couple of times now. I'm trying to figure out what might be going wrong. Are breakers known to fail? Could there be an issue with the plug or something else? It's worth mentioning that nothing electrical in my house has changed recently.

Also, consider what type of breaker you have—if it’s a regular one instead of a GFCI or arc-fault type. Is there anything else on the same circuit that could be overloading it? If the dryer is the only load, then that could point to an issue with the dryer itself or the breaker failing.
Since it’s a dedicated breaker and the dryer has been fine for a month, it might be time to inspect the dryer’s wiring or the breaker itself. Sometimes breakers can trip due to age, even if they seem fine.
First off, you should definitely check your lint trap and the dryer duct. Clogs can cause overheating which might trip the breaker. Running a Flow Sense test if your dryer has that feature could help too.
