Why Is My Grout Cracking After Installing Ceramic Tile?

I recently switched from linoleum to ceramic tile in my kitchen, which involved quite a bit of work to level the floors. However, I've noticed cracks forming in the grout seams after just a few weeks. As a beginner in home improvement, I'm concerned because I expect grout to stay intact and not break apart like this. The contractor used ARDEX FL Rapid Set Flexible Sanded Grout. While I plan to discuss this with the contractor, I'd love to understand what might be causing these cracks.

What type of subfloor do you have? Is it 5/8" or 3/4" plywood? Also, what underlayment did the installers use and how did they attach it to the subfloor? Those details could help to figure out why this is happening.

It's likely that either the subfloor wasn't prepared properly or the grout was mixed incorrectly. A good contractor should take responsibility for this issue and come back to fix it.

Is your floor on a slab or raised? Knowing that can help pinpoint the issue better!

It's a raised floor that needed leveling before the tile was laid.
