I've been using my M18 7.25 inch circular saw for about six months without any issues, but recently it started binding up while cutting, even though I checked everything I could think of. I was trying to cut some shims at a narrow angle when this happened. I've verified that the blade is properly installed, the wood is well supported, and the battery is fully charged. There are no nails in the wood, and I made sure the blade isn't bent or twisted. While attempting a regular crosscut, the saw didn't bind up but didn't cut as smoothly as I'm used to either. The saw has been in my truck, and although it hasn't gotten wet, it may have some minor bumps from transport. I recently swapped out the old blade for a new spider blade, but still experiencing issues. Any ideas?

It sounds like you've done a lot of troubleshooting already. If you've tried two different blades and still have the same issue, it might be time to reach out to the manufacturer for warranty service. They could provide insights or possibly repair options for your saw.
Updating blades is a normal part of cordless saw maintenance, and if you've already replaced it, it's understandable that you'd expect smooth cuts. Just make sure the new blade is indeed designed for your specific kind of cuts.
Just to clarify, did you replace it recently? That could change the performance a lot!
Have you checked if your blade is completely clean from any adhesive or glue? And how about the sharpness of the teeth? If you've been using a different battery recently, sometimes that can affect the performance as well. It might also be worth ensuring everything is connected properly, as a power issue could lead to reduced cutting capability, although that's less common with saws.
I’ve been using the same XC6.0 battery now, and the teeth look sharp without any stickiness. Also double-checked the blade direction, so I think I’m set there.

Yeah, that makes sense. It's frustrating, especially since my truck broke down too. Just a rough week for everything I paid a lot for!
