I just bought a 7 1/4" Kobalt miter saw and paired it with a new Spider 24-tooth framing blade. Lately, I've noticed that the blade is burning the wood, and it's so bad that it fills the whole room with smoke. I'm confused about what could be causing this issue. Any suggestions? Thanks!

You're not alone; this happens often! Make sure that the teeth point down toward the table while cutting. It's a simple fix that can solve that burning problem pretty quickly!
It sounds like your blade might be on backwards! The teeth should be cutting down towards the table. This is a common mistake and can definitely cause burning and smoke when cutting wood.
Haha, I thought the same! I've seen this happen a lot. Also, a 24-tooth blade isn't the best for cross-cuts; going for more teeth might help reduce tear-out too.

Totally agree! I had the same issue when I first started. Always check the blade direction; it's crucial!
