Why is My Pothos Growing Long and Leggy Instead of Full and Leafy?

Hey everyone! Does anyone else have trouble with their pothos growing long and leggy instead of adding more leaves? I've been working on her care routine and lighting, which is basically minimal—my plant seems healthy and is growing a lot, but it just looks like an elongated Daddy Longleg spider! She's hanging from a ceiling hook right next to my bedroom window where she gets bright, indirect sunlight most of the day. Any tips on how to help her grow more leaves?

It's pretty common for pothos to get leggy when they're reaching for light, even if they're otherwise healthy. Try moving her to an area with brighter, indirect light or consider trimming the vines now and then. Pruning can really help promote fuller growth. You might also want to try looping the vines back into the soil to encourage more leaves along the stems!

If leaf nodes have fallen off, you can use orchid cloning paste on those spots to encourage new leaf growth. I just did this with my own pothos and I'm excited to see if it works!

Hmm, I might give that a shot!

Awesome, I didn’t know about that! I'm gonna try it too.
