Why is my shower water pressure so high after removing the kitchen sink?

I just finished renovating my kitchen and turned off the water to the sink. Now, I'm noticing that the water pressure in my shower is super high, while the bathroom sink and tub seem normal. Is this because the water is only going to the bathroom now? I'm a bit worried since the kitchen faucet isn't on—why would it affect my shower pressure? Should I be concerned about this for the next week?

It sounds like you might have gotten some dirt or debris in your water lines when you did the demo. When I had a similar issue, I found my shower head was clogged. I recommend checking yours—unscrew it and take a look. You might be surprised at what’s inside!

I just did that with mine! Turns out it was full of gunk after turning off the water. Cleaning it made a huge difference—definitely worth a shot!
