I've noticed that my succulent is growing upwards quite a bit, which is concerning. I added some new soil about a month ago, but ever since then, it's been growing super long and tall. Do you think it might need more light?

Also, keep an eye on watering! It’s important to let the soil dry out completely between waterings to prevent rot, which can happen if the soil stays too moist. A good mix for your soil would be half succulent potting soil and half gritty material to ensure it drains well. Good luck!
It sounds like your succulent might be experiencing a bit of etiolating, which happens when it doesn't get enough light. Succulents typically grow toward the light source, so if it's stretching up too much, it's likely trying to find more sunlight. You might want to check if it’s getting enough light in its current spot. If not, gradually introduce it to brighter light, possibly even a grow light if you can't provide enough natural light.
You're definitely on the right track thinking about light! Adding new soil is great, but if it's not positioned well for light, it can lead to that tall, leggy growth. Make sure it's getting bright, indirect sunlight or consider using a grow light. Just be careful and increase the light exposure gradually to avoid burning those leaves. Also, make sure your pot has good drainage to keep the roots healthy!
Yeah, I had a similar issue with my plants! It's amazing how much light can change their growth patterns. I moved mine to a south-facing window, and it made a huge difference!
