I have a well setup in Florida, and I'm facing a significant issue with the filter clogging up way too fast. It fills up within about two weeks, even though it's meant to last around three months. This quick clogging leads to a major drop in our water pressure, making the sink output a tiny stream. I've cleaned the filter holder and replaced the filters with 20-micron ones, which aren't extremely fine, yet they still clog rapidly. The filters come out with a deep brown hue but no solid sediment. I also have an aerator water tank that pulls water from the well and another tank for softening, plus a sediment filter that I'm questioning the placement of. I'm looking for solutions to prevent this clogging and maintain good water pressure. Any ideas?

We had a similar issue, and adding a spindown filter before the existing filter made a huge difference. It catches a lot of the debris beforehand, which allows your primary filter to focus on fine filtration. We opted for the iSpring WSP100ARJ-BP because it has a scheduled auto-flush feature that keeps it clean easily. You might want to consider something like that!
Thanks for the suggestion! I hadn’t heard of a spindown filter before. It looks a bit expensive, but I might find something cheaper that still does the job. Do you think this would still lead to clogging issues, though?
