Why is my wine fridge making loud popping sounds?

Hey everyone! I've noticed that ever since we moved, my wine fridge has been making these strange, loud popping sounds when the compressor kicks in, almost like a firm knock. The manufacturer mentioned that it might be caused by oil getting into the cooling circuit during the move. The movers didn't tilt it more than 45 degrees, so I hope that's not the case. Repair costs are pretty high, and I'm wondering if it's okay to just let it be for a year, or if there's a risk it could fail at any moment. I'm also considering moving again in a year or two, which could make matters worse. What do you all think?

You might want to unplug the fridge for a day to let any oil settle back in place. It can help with that popping noise. Just make sure it’s off for a full day. It might just cool down those components and reduce the sound.

I actually had it unplugged for a week right after moving, and it’s still working fine! Do you think that means it’s less likely to break down?
