Why is there no electricity in just one room of my house?

I've run into a strange problem: one of the bedrooms in my house suddenly lost power, but everything was perfectly normal before. I've gone through every outlet to check if they were wired correctly. Since I don't really know much about electrical work, I thought I'd ask here before I call a professional. Is there anything I can try on my own first?

Definitely check the GFI outlets and the switches in the room. I once had a power outage, and my garage lights were linked to a GFI outlet that didn't reset automatically. Make sure all the circuit breakers are fully switched on, too.

You might want to look for any GFCI outlets, especially if there's a sink nearby. I've had situations where a GFCI tripped in another bathroom, causing the power to cut off in a completely different room.

I was hoping that would be it, but I couldn't find any GFI outlets near the bedroom.

Yeah, I had to call an electrician once because my bathroom lost power, and it turned out a GFCI receptacle was tripped inside the closet by the bathroom.

Did you check your circuit breakers? Sometimes they can look fine but still be tripped.

Yeah, I checked and nothing was tripped.
