Why Isn’t My Broccoli Flowering? Should I Give Up on It?

I've got a broccoli plant that's really big with tons of leaves, but it hasn't produced any flowers yet. With this hot summer, I'm wondering if I should just pull it out or if it might still flower later like I've seen with other plants. Any advice?

I've faced similar issues with my broccoli! One of my plants just started showing florets, so I'm not giving up yet. There’s still hope!

Hold onto your plants until spring or whenever you need that space. They might surprise you and produce something before you pull them. Plus, don’t forget you can eat the leaves! They’re great in stir-fries or mixed into scrambled eggs.

I didn’t think about eating the leaves! I’ll definitely try that in my next stir-fry. Thanks for the tip!

I'd recommend leaving it be unless you really need the space. Broccoli prefers cooler weather, and there’s still time for it to produce. What variety are you growing?

Not exactly sure, I’ll have to check the packets. I thought it was a long stem variety, but I can just let it be for now.
