I recently installed a new faucet, and while the hot water initially flowed, it felt a bit weaker. A few days later, I noticed a small leak under the sink from the hot water line connection. After unscrewing it, adding Teflon tape, and tightening it back up, I suddenly have no hot water coming from the faucet. I checked by connecting the hot water line directly from under the sink to a bucket, and it worked fine. Could something be stuck in the hot water line of the new faucet?

Hey, just a thought—did you check if you accidentally left the shut-off valve under the sink turned off after making adjustments? Sometimes it’s easy to overlook!
That could be likely! By the way, Teflon tape is only effective on pipe threads, so using it on compression or braided lines won’t help. It might not be a good idea to use it there at all. I wonder if any of that tape got stuck in the faucet? Filling it up and trying to compress the line manually might be tricky since you need to disassemble the faucet first, which sounds frustrating!
Yeah, it seems like a hassle because that screw for disassembly is tucked down towards the sink. Just my luck!

I made sure to turn it back on each time! Plus, the dishwasher, which shares that same valve, is getting hot water just fine.
