I just set up a brand new Frigidaire upright freezer that's labeled as "garage-ready" in my unheated garage. Lately, the outside temperature where I live has been fluctuating between 30 and 50 degrees. The garage temperature is slightly warmer than that, but I'm noticing that the freezer isn't cooling down properly—staying around 25-30 degrees inside, even though I can hear it running. The specifications mention it should operate effectively between 0 and 110 degrees. Is there something I might have set up incorrectly, or could this unit be defective and need a repair or replacement?

It's possible the unit is faulty, but just in case, if the freezer was laid down for transport, it should be left upright for at least 24 hours before you plug it in. This helps the compressor settle so it doesn't run poorly.
If it's not working straight out of the box, just return it! If the store refuses to take it back, consider doing a chargeback on your payment.
It sounds like something might be wrong with your freezer. I've had my share of issues with Frigidaire appliances. They’re produced by Electrolux, and honestly, my experiences have been less than stellar with them!

Yeah, that's super important to remember!
