Hey everyone, I'm having an issue with my shower faucet where it only partially diverts water to the shower head. Usually, when I pull up the tub spout diverter to switch from tub to shower, it takes a second or two before the water redirects. Recently, after returning from a trip, I noticed mineral deposits on the tub spout and that's when this problem started. I cleaned the spout with vinegar, and while it looks good now, pulling the diverter still only sends some water to the shower head, with most of it still coming out of the tub spout. I suspect the diverter gasket may be loose, but I'd love to hear your thoughts on a potential fix. I've had this issue before and ended up buying a new spout, which I don't want to do again if there's an easier solution! Thanks!

Honestly, these diverters can be pretty cheap to replace. If it's not working properly, just getting a new one might save you time and frustration down the line.

When I pull the diverter, should the gasket completely seal the opening to send all water to the shower? I really want to figure out what's wrong. Thanks!
