Hey folks! I've had my Agave Queen Victoria for about a month now, and I'm running into an issue. After I water it—when the leaves feel a bit softer—they just won't puff back up again, even after a week. I planted it in a gritty succulent soil mix, so I'm wondering if I should water it again or just leave it alone for now. Any tips would be really appreciated!

I totally get your concern about overwatering, especially since it had a rough start. If your soil is completely dry, it might be time to water again. Just be sure to soak it well so the roots can absorb what they need. It’s common for succulents to take a little while to bounce back after being stressed, so keep an eye on it and hopefully, it’ll perk up soon! Good luck, and you've got this!
It sounds like you might need to give your Agave a good bottom watering to really hydrate it. Sometimes with gritty soil, just watering from the top isn't enough. To properly soak it, try placing the pot in a dish of water and let it absorb moisture from the bottom. Also, make sure it's allowed to dry out fully before watering again—that's key for succulents!
