Why Won’t My Cats Enjoy the Catnip I Grow?

I've been trying to grow catnip for my cats, but it seems like I'm doing something wrong. They absolutely love the store-bought catnip, but completely ignore the catnip I grow myself. I've even tried air drying the leaves and using a dehydrator, but they show no interest in the plant or its buds either. I've purchased seeds from three different brands, so I'm at a loss. Is there something I'm missing?

Have you tried offering them fresh leaves? My cat is all about the fresh stuff in summer and only goes for the store-bought stuff when that’s not available. Sometimes, cats are just picky about their catnip. If your cats don’t seem to like the fresh leaves either, it might just be a preference thing!

Unfortunately, my cats won't touch the fresh leaves either. There's a feral cat that loves munching on the tops of my plants, but mine don't care for them at all, fresh or dried. It's puzzling since they go crazy for the store-bought kind!
