Why Won’t My DeWalt Battery Charge?

I've got an issue with my DeWalt 6Ah battery that won't charge. After using my drill, the battery died. I swapped it out for a different one and put the dead battery on the charger, but it doesn't show any lights or indications of charging. I have both a fast charger and a dual battery charger, yet it won't work on either. I even tried the reset trick by jumping the B+ and B- terminals to a good battery, but that didn't help. Is there anything else I can do to troubleshoot this?

Is your battery a Flexvolt? Those high-amperage batteries can be tricky since they run in different voltages depending on where you use them. A lot of people report breakdowns with these batteries. I’ve had issues with several of mine, but I managed to fix a couple by checking the fuses and solder connections. Might wanna explore that route as well!

No, it's not a Flexvolt battery. Just a regular one.

If you've already attempted the reset, I think your best bet might be to file a warranty claim if it's still within the period. But if you're out of warranty, there are some online services that specialize in battery rebuilding. It's worth looking into!
