Why won’t my garage door close after changing a light switch?

I recently switched out some old light switches in my garage, trying to spruce things up before putting my house on the market. The problem started after I replaced a three-way switch near the garage door. When the switch is in the OFF position, the garage door gets stuck about 5 inches from the ground and acts like something's blocking it, even though when the switch is ON, everything works perfectly. Bizarrely, it seems like one switch won't send power to the other properly, making the OFF position the only option if I want the garage lights to work. Has anyone experienced this odd garage door behavior when light switches are changed?

That sounds super weird! The fact that the three-way switch wires aren’t working is likely causing interference. It's possible there’s something wrong with the wiring, and that's messing with the garage door opener. You might also want to check if you replaced the bulbs in the opener too; using regular bulbs instead of those designed for garage door openers can create issues. Oh, and for safety's sake, double-check that there's nothing physically blocking the garage door.

Right? Maybe the wiring got mixed up during the switch replacement. Might be worth rechecking everything!
