Why Won’t My Socket Work Even After Replacement?

I've recently run into an issue where my electrical socket is no longer functioning despite having power and even replacing the socket itself. After some testing, I found that when I measure the voltage between live and neutral, there's nothing at all. Connecting the ground and any other cable only yields about 2V AC. I checked the continuity of the phase and neutral wires, and the readings are fluctuating between 0.001 and 0.009, occasionally hitting around 0.150. The fuse seems fine too, and this is the second socket I've tried using. I'm not sure what else could be causing this problem, so any insights would be greatly appreciated!

You should focus on measuring voltage instead of continuity. Make sure you're testing between hot and neutral to see if any power is getting through. Just verifying resistance won't help in this case.

Yeah, I actually tested the voltage between live and neutral, and there’s nothing showing up.

Have you checked if this outlet is linked to a GFCI elsewhere? Sometimes they trip and cut power to connected outlets. It might not be your socket at all!

Did you remember to turn the breaker back on after replacing the socket? That’s a common oversight that could be causing your issues.

Yes, I checked and the breaker is definitely on.
