I'm really frustrated because deer have munched almost all the leaves off my young Yoshino cherry tree. It's down to just three leaves! Is it completely done for, or can I expect the leaves to grow back this year? I absolutely hate dealing with deer!

Honestly, it’s a real issue everywhere now. With fewer natural predators, deer populations are exploding, and they’ll eat anything they can find. It’s frustrating, but once the leaves grow back, just keep your tree protected, and you should be fine.
I totally feel your pain! The deer around here are relentless. They’ve eaten my young sweet cherry tree too, and it’ll take some time for the leaves to come back. You might really need to cover your tree with fencing or mesh cloth until it’s big enough that they can’t reach it.
It sounds like your cherry tree will probably survive since they just ate the leaves. If you often have issues with deer, consider building a fence to protect your plants in the future!
Yeah, a fence is definitely on my to-do list. For now, I’ve set up some deterrents to keep them away.

It’s true! They definitely prefer the tasty stuff humans plant. Just gotta outsmart them!
