I got some lovely potted tulips for my wife since they're her favorite flowers, but my mischievous cat decided to chew off all the flower heads! I didn't bother waiting for her to eat them, just removed the chewed parts. If I keep watering the plant and hide it from the cat, do you think I can expect it to bloom again next year, or should I just give up on it? Any tips would be appreciated!

Your tulips probably won't bloom again. They usually only flower once per bulb. If you keep it going, you might get some leaves next year, but don't count on seeing those beautiful blooms again. Sorry!
Nah, those bulbs usually need more time and light to store nutrients for reblooming, especially if they’re kept indoors. Most of the time, they’re just one-time wonders. Sorry, but it might be time to say goodbye to the chewed ones.
You could try nurturing your tulip plant and see if it makes it through the year, but don’t expect spectacular results. If it does manage to survive, it might be a weak bloom next time around. As an alternative, think about getting some pre-chilled tulip bulbs for Christmas and planting those in a pot. They like plenty of sunlight and can be hardy, so by Valentine’s Day, you’ll likely have gorgeous flowers again!
